Right now, there isn't a lot of engaging content coming from the Dragon Ball Super manga. This has led to many people believing that the manga is on hiatus. However, this couldn't be further from the truth, since the manga is still alive and adapting the latest film, Super Hero, into manga style. That said, it is not news regarding the Dragon Ball Super manga. Since its inception, the series, led by Toriyama and Toyotaro, has seen several episodes in which fans have lost interest. This is even though the Moro and Granolah arcs have improved significantly in recent years. However, the most recent superhero film recap has been less than stellar, particularly in terms of the Goten and Trunks mini-arc. Most anime series have to catch up with the original material, but the Dragon Ball Super manga had to do the opposite for many years.
Toriyama and Toyotaro did not have the opportunity to write manga-first content until the completion of the Tournament of Power arc in the anime, which concluded in 2018. This proved to be the catalyst for this run's rapid growth. The Moro and Granolah arcs were generally regarded as positive and forward-thinking because they provided the characters with powerful moments and arcs. Additionally, they helped build up the lore that was established. Some of the highlights of this series are Vegeta's redemption with the people of Namek and Goku remembering his parents. The run included new characters, like Granolah, who has a connection to Bardock, adding depth to the storyline. However, interest in the most current arc, which focuses on adapting the superhero movie, has declined. It was the same while adapting the Battle of Gods film, as everyone knew what would happen.
While it was entertaining to have Goten and Trunks in the spotlight for a brief period, many readers grew tired of the highly frivolous approach. Others have found the tempo of this new storyline to be lackluster. While the Dragon Ball Super manga is not now the trendiest issue, the same cannot be said of the franchise's future. After Akio Iyoku, a key person in Shueisha's Dragon Room division, which focuses on Dragon Ball, left the firm, there were numerous theories regarding what this meant for the band's future. According to sources, Lyoku thought that the franchise was not living up to its full potential. He also wants his new organization, Capsule Corporation Tokyo, to handle the series in all branches, except the manga. Some Shueisha employees believe Iyoku has become overly possessive of the franchise, leading to speculations of his departure before his resignation.
Dragon Ball Super manga holds a special place in my heart because it brings back so many cherished memories. From the intense battles to the unexpected plot twists, every chapter has been a thrilling ride. The character development and the expansion of the Dragon Ball universe have kept me hooked. It's not just a story; it's a journey that has been a significant part of my life. The nostalgia and excitement it brings are unmatched. Long live Dragon Ball Super!
