Signal Application
The signal application aimed mainly at their application privacy and security and their main motive was to make this platform open source also the signal is based on cross-platform availability which means the signal is available on all the platforms ie. macOS, Windows, Android, and Linux. It makes the application easy to use on any device. The Signal has a main feature of group feature which allows everyone to add up to 1000 people in a group and make up to 40 people group call at a time. The second main aim of the signal was to make this platform ad-free which means the signal has no advertisements in the application.
Telegram Application
The Telegram application is based on a cloud-based messaging application that has many features, including large group chats that can have up to 200,000 members, unique features, and bots and automation. Telegram file sharing is a basic feature in every application, but Telegram has an advantage for users able to send files up to 2GB in size. Secret chats are an option that Telegram offers for end-to-end encryption.
Why are people switching?
People trust Telegram because it does not store any user data and instead uses end-to-end encryption to protect the user messages still signal has the same feature of end-to-end encryption but after the arrest of the telegram CEO people were afraid that the data could now be accessible by government agencies and it will not be end to end encrypted so same as telegram people are preferring to move on signal as they are concerned about their privacy.
