As a streamer, the main motive is to provide a good quality stream where you need to be actively reading chat and interacting with the audience but the main part of streaming is to entertain the audience be it with your gaming skills be it with your fun IRL streams, since few days streamers are facing the issue where they are getting issue to play Valorant while streaming and it is mostly with the streamers who are using obs and stream labs obs.

How do we fix the obs not capturing games and games not working while the obs is running?

Below are a few points that will give you a fix and the reason behind it. 

Recently OBS launched its 31.0.1 version on 18 January 2025 and as usual streamers downloaded it as it was having some issues where people were facing mainly two issues like Valorant game was not starting when the obs was running and other games were not appearing in game capture.

So how to fix it?

The fix is you need to reinstall version 29 or 30 and degrade after degrading the obs version the issue will be resolved.

But most streamers face the issue where they do not want to reset the obs scenes so for that do not uninstall just directly install the old version of obs and it will have your data if required open the obs go on the top bar for screen collection and in that click on export this will help you to back up your obs data.
